Phillip Calvin Osburn, 94 years old, passed away on June 29, 2019. He lived a very full life and was surrounded by his loving family. Phillip, also known as Phil or “PC”, saw many milestones in life. He grew up in Whittier and worked in the Nixon Family Market. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He tragically experienced the loss of his daughter Layne. Grew a very successful metal stamping business, which he ran until well into his 80’s Phil and Chris, his beloved wife, enjoyed the RV lifestyle for many years, owned several ‘rigs’ and grew many deep friendships.
His desire to be a husband and father drew him to the beautiful Christine and her three children, Tracy, Patrick and David. He was a devoted husband for 48 years and raised the children as his own…all with him at the end of his life.
We will celebrate his life on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 2pm at McAulay Wallace. In memory of his life, in lieu of flowers please make donations to Orangewood Foundation (www.orangewoodfoundation.org), a non-profit serving children and youth in Orange County.
