Mary Ann Iimura Zimmer

Zimmer, Mary Ann Iimura 87 of Anaheim Hills, CA passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022, due to complications from advanced dementia. Born December 26, 1934, in Dayton, OH. Formally of Columbus, OH, Yorba Linda, CA, and Dayton, OH. Mary Ann moved back to California again in 2018. Preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Masao Iimura in 2001, and her second husband Richard “Dick” Zimmer in 2010, and her sisters Dolores White and Kathleen Honious. Survived by her children, Cheryl Iimura and Karen Metcalfe (Larry), her grandchildren, Justin Herlehy and Rachel Metcalfe, her sister Cecilia Bosticco, brothers Bill Clarke (Patty), Mark Thomas (Susie), and Joe Thomas (Debbie), her sisters-in-law Chic Shimokawa, Shizue Howe (John), brothers-in-law Wally Iimura (Linda) and Howard Honious, her large Zimmer step-family, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Even though in the past few years the ravages of dementia took the mom/grandma/sister/aunt/friend we knew, we will remember the good times and great food she shared with us. A memorial will be scheduled in spring 2022 in Dayton, Ohio, where she will be interred with her husbands. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
