Nancy Mossberg was born August 9, 1942 in Duluth Minnesota to Jesse and Ruth Mossberg. When she was 2 years of age the family moved to Illinois. She spent her formative years in Rockford Illinois along with an older brother, Jesse Mossberg. She married John Massey in 1960. They had three daughters together and later divorced. They moved to Fort Collins Colorado in 1968.
She married LeRoy Lahmann in 1978 and they had one daughter together. They were married until his death in 2013.
Nancy worked at Woodward Governor and AAA travel agency before starting an in- home childcare which she ran for many years. She then began her employment at Walmart where she worked for over 25 years. She made many lifelong friendships there and enjoyed her job until she retired. Nancy loved reading and watching movies on the Hallmark Channel, especially the Christmas ones. She was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian church for over 40 years.
Due to health issues she decided to move to Texas to live with her daughter in 2022.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, brother, husband, and one granddaughter, Sara Murrow.
She is survived by her four daughters Diane (Eric) Hubel of Houston, Texas, Carolyn Massey of Fort Collins, Heather (Randy) Wallace of Fort Collins and Amber Lahmann of Berthoud Colorado. Eleven grandchildren Stephen Hubel, Dylan (Wendy) Hubel, Damion Hubel and William Hubel all of Houston Texas, Joshua (Meghan) Murrow of Loveland, Colorado, Jessie Samuelson of Fort Collins, Justin (Chelsey) Wallace of Fort Collins, Matthew Wilson and Gracin Wilson of Nebraska, Jacob Young and Nicholas Young of Berthoud Colorado. And five great grandchildren, Isabel Murrow and Laycee Murrow of Loveland, Bella Hubel of Houston and Jaxon Wallace and Cole Wallace of Fort Collins.
A a celebration of life for Nancy will be held Monday, December 4, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1709 W. Elizabeth St, Fort Collins, CO 80521.
