Mariah L. Andersen Butler

Mariah Louise Andersen was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away at home on September 5, 2023. Mariah was born January 28, 1978 to Ralph Alcon & Carol Andersen-Alcon. She is survived by her beautiful daughters Savannah Rose Spalding and Oakley Andersen Butler, her mother, Carol Andersen, brother Issac Alcon, sister-in-law Jessica Fedoryk, and her niece and nephew Persephanie and Trajan.

Mariah was a long time resident of Ft. Collins, CO where she graduated from Rocky Mountain High School in 1996. She attended the University of Wyoming, where she was a cheerleader, and CSU where she graduated with a degree in Exercise & Health Science. While still in college, Mariah returned to Rocky Mountain High to coach cheerleading. After graduation, she moved to Vail, where she trained to be a Pilates instructor. When she returned to Ft Collins, she pioneered a Pilates program at Raintree Athletic Club and fostered a tight, fitness community. She went on to become a beloved instructor at Club Pilates, teaching sold out classes to her dedicated clients.

Mariah passed down her love of cheer to her daughters and enjoyed traveling the country with their teams. She loved playing outdoors, whether it was snowboarding in Vail, hiking the Rockies or boating at Horsetooth Reservoir. Riah adored and was adored by her aunts, uncles and cousins and could be found whipping their butts in both cards and Zoom Pilates. She was also creative and found joy decorating cakes for friends and family. Mariah was an extrovert who made a lasting impression on everyone she met with her inviting personality and bright laugh. She will be greatly missed.

A service honoring Mariah’s life will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 3:00pm at Allnutt Funeral Home, 650 West Drake, Fort Collins, CO. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made towards a college fund for Mariah’s girls via Venmo @SavannahOakley23.
