Larry was born on April 15th in Dilia, New Mexico USA in 1932. When Larry was young, the family moved to the Fort Collins area and attended the Timnath schools. This was short lived with the start of WWII and he was needed to help the family and war effort. This move started Larry’s long career in the farming industry.
He met the love of his life in the small farming town of Windsor in 1951 at the city park as Mary was babysitting that day. Larry and Mary were married the following year and had 8 wonderful children together. Their marriage lasted 70 years until his passing. Throughout their marriage, education, hard work, and family were important cornerstones raising the family.
When Larry retired from farming, he ran a successful hay grinding business for many years. After retiring yet again, he worked on pet projects fixing up old International Harvester tractors. He always kept his hands and mind busy - must have been the old farmer work ethic in him. Larry established many friendships and had the respect of all his farming peers in the region.
He was preceded in death by his sons Anthony and Leroy. Larry is survived by his wife Mary, Son Larry Jr (Frances), daughter Susie (Bob), son Jim (Gloria), daughter Clara (Ron), son Clarence (Kay), son Robert (Diane). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
