Lupe was the seventh child out of ten children born to Estanislao and Catarina Vasquez on March 26, 1944 in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Lupe was raised in Wiggins, Colorado and graduated from Wiggins High School in 1965. After graduation Lupe moved to Greeley, Colorado where she was employed by Bonnell Nursing Home as a nurse's aid. From Greeley she moved to Loveland where she met her late husband, Harman "Tex" Parker. They were married on August 27, 1977. Lupe was employed at Teledyne Waterpik of Loveland/Fort Collins and worked for them for sixteen years before taking early retirement due to her health.

She had them all buried in her backyard except for Lucky who survives her today. She was very patriotic, had a passion for veterans’ causes. She was instrumental in the building of the Veteran Memorial in Loveland by laying down bricks for the foundation. She was an auxiliary Life member of the Loveland VFW Post 41.
She is survived by four sisters, Pomposa Segura, Fort Morgan, CO; Mary Jane Mendoza and Alicia Lozoya, both of Greeley; and Eloise Segura (Sabe) of Evans, CO; one brother, Juan Vasquez (Margaret), Lafayette, CO; sisters-in-law Maria Vasquez, Fort Morgan, CO and Delene Vasquez, Kearney, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
