Ginny Mortenson passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 28, 2021 in Fort Collins, Colorado. She was 91.
Ginny was born in California and was raised in Caripito, Venezuela and Westwood, California. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Spanish from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Ginny married Richard Clarence Mortenson in 1950. They had 4 children, Rich, Kathy, Judy and Suzy. Her husband passed away in 1972.
Ginny worked for many years at Hewlett Packard in Loveland Colorado. She founded the HP Rocky Mountain Federal Credit Union and was the manager until she retired in 1990. She was a long-time member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Loveland and served as their Financial Secretary for many years.
Ginny loved to play bridge and golf, and she loved to travel. Her travels took her all over the United States, Europe, China, South America, Australia New Zealand and the Panama Canal. She traveled with friends and families and sometimes by herself.
Ginny is survived by her sister, Barbara, her son, Rich (Rene), her daughters, Kathy (Lee), Judy (Eldon) and Suzy, grandchildren Mike, Ken, Kevin, CJ, Audrey, Terri and Shelly and great grandchildren, Trevor, Conner, Audrey, Zelda, Alexander, Emily and Charlie Kate.
Services will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church later in 2021.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ginny’s memory to All Saints Episcopal Church, 3448 N Taft Ave in Loveland, Colorado.
