Carol Joy Grey was a beautiful and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her love of life was obvious in the way in which she lived it. Carol passed away on May 3, 2022 at the age of 79 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her by living their lives to the fullest.
Carol was born to Frank and Angela Joy on August 17, 1942 and was the eldest of their five children. After graduating high school, Carol married the love of her life, Richard Grey. Together, they had 3 children, Chris, Kelley, and Sean. Not only was she a loving and caring mom to these three, she was also a respected practice manager for a large medical practice for 32 years and then worked as a client service advisor for a financial corporation in her retirement. Carol did not know the meaning of the phrase, “kick back and relax”!
Carol found joy in caring for and serving others, whether it was hosting a formal party or just making breakfast for a friend or one of her many grandchildren. And boy, could Carol cook and decorate! She was fondly referred to as Martha Stewart’s (nice) twin. Along with her extraordinary ability to host, cook and decorate, Carol also had the unique ability to connect with people from all backgrounds. Those who came in contact with her would always leave a wiser and better person.
There will be a service for those who would like to honor Carol on Thursday, May 12th at 1:30pm, St. Frances Cabrini Parish, 6673 W. Chatfield Ave., Littleton.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to National MS Society or the charity of your choice.
