Margaret Ann Cogar

Margaret Ann Cogar, age 72, of Martinsburg, WV, formerly of Front Royal passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Canterbury Nursing Home in Shepherdstown, WV. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home with Reverend Seth Alcorn officiating. Burial will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the start of the funeral service at the funeral home. Mrs. Cogar was born in Front Royal on December 5, 1945 a daughter of the late Irene Howard Sealock. She was raised by her maternal grandparents Louis A. and Elizabeth Estes Sealock. She was a custodian with the federal government. She enjoyed flower gardening, and going out dancing. She had a special place in her heart for dogs, she adopted many from local shelters. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Cogar is survived by her son, Donald Cogar of Martinsburg, WV; her sisters, Barbara Howard and Kathy Howard both of Chicago, IL; her grandchildren, Joshua Cogar and Samantha Cogar; her niece, April Martin Gorman and husband Timothy; her cousin, Betty Barbe Martin; and a special friend, Alice Parks. In addition to her mother Mrs. Cogar was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Wayne Cogar in 1981; her sister, Jean Williams; her niece, Kristina Gorman; and a cousin she was raised with, Charles E. Martin.
