Obituary of Cornondo Andre Jenkins
Cornondo Andre Jenkins, formally of Linden Va, slipped away peacefully at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, Va on August 4, 2014. Andre received his early education at The Key Center in Fairfax County, Va. He graduated from Fauquier High School and then attended Bridges Day Program in Warrenton, Va. He also attended Pleasant View Day Program in Broadway, Va. Andre resided at Sunset Ridge Group Home in Penn Laird, Va where he was we'll cared for and much loved. Andre enjoyed listening to music, watching TV (especially comedies) such as.. Martin ,The Three Stooges,Good Times,The Jeffersons ,CHiPs, Three's Company and any type of sports ,cards,magazine and memorabilia. Andre leaves to cherrish his memories, his parents Walter and Doryce Robinson and One brother, Bennie Jenkins Jr. (Sharon);Two Grandmothers, Lucille Ogburn and Margaret Warner;and biological Father, Bennie Jenkins Sr;A host of aunts and uncles, Ernest Hepburn (Gladys), Elizabeth Doggette (Larry), Terry Robinson (Steve), Pamela Whitney (Ambrose), Shirl Lowe, Robert Robinson (Gail),Larry Robinson, (Ruth) Walter Neal,Diane Neal ,Harvey Jenkins (Marie), Kendalle Tucker, Elzenia Booker, Vincent Ogburn, Luellen Ogburn (Gloria); Nieces and nephews, Antonia, Bennie, Gerald, Reggie and one great-niece, Sari. Cousins Alonzo, Gordon,Abraham, Alex, KC, Maurice, Adrian, Tanisha, Tatyana, Shaun, Nicole, Marquita, Matthew, Bryon, Daniel, Nykita, Blair, Corbin, Dominic, Christian, and Ethan. Andre was surrounded by a vast number of relatives and friends. Andre was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lucille White Butler; and grandfathers Kenneth Butler;and Edward Ogburn, Great-grandmothers, Willie Agnes Warner and Alberta Goode and one uncle James Ogburn. Andre's final days were spent surrounded by family and friends who Andre had touched in many ways throughout his memorable life. Andre's life may seem short to many, but to those who were touched by him they understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which he lived. His gentle smile and hardy laugh could melt the hearts of those around him and though he did not communicate verbally his voice and thoughts could always be heard. Andre possessed strength, perseverance, and an ability to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges. Through his courage, he led us to know that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting, loving memories. Through Andre's passing we are reminded that life is to be celebrated even in death. "We will miss you Andre, especially your infectious smile". A repass will immediately follow the service at Warren County Youth Center, 200 East 8th Street, Front Royal, Va 22630. The interment will take place on Sunday, August 10, 2014 @11:00am, 1341 Country Club Drive, Chase City Va 23924
