Ronnie Dean Ecker, age 68, of Afton, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. Ronnie was born March 31, 1953 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After he graduated from Union Public Schools in 1972, he joined the United States Marine Corp and was honorably discharged in 1977 and went on to raising his family being self-employed.
Ronnie enjoyed fishing, cheering for all Oklahoma sports teams and the Dallas Cowboys, horseshoes and darts and cards, he was also a meticulous painter. However, he mostly loved his family and friends and making everyone laugh.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his father, William Marshal Ecker; his mother, Ruby Faye Ecker; his two sisters Sharon and Jackie Ecker; and his two brothers in law, Teddy Wilson and Joe Seebach.
He is survived by partner of 30 years, Brenda Sanders of Afton, Oklahoma; Daughters, Cheryl Ecker of Owasso, Oklahoma and Malisa Bender and her husband Nathan Bender Bakersfield, California; Granddaughters, Carleigh King, Madelyn Bender and Morgan Bender; Step-Son, Sean Allison and his wife Sherry Allison of Frisco, Texas and their children, Justin Allison of Frisco, Texas; Cheyenne Shelnutt and her husband Griffin Shelnutt and their daughter Blakely Shelnutt of Frisco, Texas and Levi Allison, of Frisco, Texas; Step-Daughter, Kari Allison of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Siblings, Marsha Scott (John Scott) of San Antonio, Texas, Jerry Ecker (Silvia) of Lawton, Oklahoma, Geneva Wiatrek (Paul) of San Antonio, Texas, William Marshal “W.M.” Ecker (Jean) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Cathy Seebach of Houston, Texas, Rebecca “Becky" Wilson of Houston, Texas, Richard Ecker (Lesley) of Chesterfield, Virginia, Scott Kneupper-Ecker of San Antonio, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Ronnie Ecker’s memory to the American Cancer Society Free Ride Program.
