Nathan loved anything with a motor! From the time he got his 4-wheeler at age 3 until he got his “albatross” jet boat he kept for the last 20 years. He loved his motorcycle, his scooters, his jet ski, and his truck was his pride and joy. He had those material things when he decided to give them up, return to a basic life and go back to school for his Masters. Always the highest IQ and brightest kid through school, he had to work extra hard to get his undergrad degree, because he wanted independence. Being Nathan with a hard-earned work ethic, he was most determined and got his MBA with no help, financial or otherwise. He took tremendous pride in that accomplishment, as did his family. His trophy wall of degrees is prominent in his parent’s home. Being a self-proclaimed loner and introvert, Nathan never had a lot of friends. But the few he made were close and loved him for himself like his family. The only child, spoiled intentionally by his parents, Jodie and Bill, and his many cousins that watched him grow-up. Nathan got to express his love of and love by his many second and third cousins through his teen and adult years. He was also blessed with a large extended family from his youth spent in Oklahoma. They are feeling his absence as if blood relatives. As his father writing this with unbearable pain, I have to say most of all he was a good Son, and my closest friend over the last 4+ decades. He was always there to pick me up and most of all he was always forgiving of my mistakes. As the circle of life plays out, Nathan Bailey and Mercy Morales were gifted with a baby boy in July and he was aptly name Nathaniel Ryan Bailey, Jr. He will miss out having the wonderful father Nathan Sr. would have been, but he won’t be shorted any Love.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.stonebriarfh.com for the Bailey family.
