Jane Seyboldt Reuter, age 82, passed away unexpectedly on November 2, 2024, at her home in Frisco, Texas. Born on May 24, 1942, in Erie, Pennsylvania, Jane was the beloved daughter of Edward and Grace Seyboldt.
Jane was a dedicated and accomplished woman who earned her BA in Education from Penn State University and a Master’s degree in Counseling from Gannon University. She spent many fulfilling years as an elementary and middle school teacher and later as a guidance counselor in Pennsylvania. Her passion for education and commitment to nurturing young minds were hallmarks of her career.
In pursuit of adventure, Jane, along with her husband and two children, lived overseas for six years in Australia, Mexico, and Spain. These years were filled with exploration, cultural experiences, and friendships that Jane cherished throughout her life. Upon returning to the United States, the family eventually settled in Dallas, Texas, where Jane embarked on a successful 20+ year career in real estate sales. She retired in Frisco, Texas, leaving a legacy of integrity and dedication to her clients.
Jane is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Dave Reuter; her daughter, Casey Leach, and son-in-law, Chip Leach; her son, David Reuter Jr., and daughter-in-law, Charmaine Reuter. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Kylie and Charles "Chase" Leach, as well as Chloe and Olive Reuter.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Seyboldt and Grace Heyl, her brother Edward Seyboldt, and her stepfather, Charles Heyl.
Jane will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her love for family, and the warmth she brought to those who knew her.
A memorial service to celebrate Jane’s life will be held at 1pm on November 26th in the Chapel at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Frisco located at 8000 Eldorado Parkway with a reception to follow at Dua Trattoria, located at 5225 Warren Pkwy in Frisco Texas (Northwest corner of Legacy and Warren).
