Edward Lee Williams (Eddie) passed away September 2, 2024 in Frisco, Texas at the age of 55. Eddie was a beloved husband, grandfather, stepfather, son, brother, cousin, and uncle and he loved his family intentionally and loyally every day of his life. Always the center of fun, he was full of life and lived it as an adventure. But never selfishly, always faithful and loyal with an indescribable generous and giving heart.
Eddie was born on April 22,1969 to Edward and Sandy Williams in Dalhart, Tx. After graduating from Stratford High School, Eddie was an incredibly proud graduate of Texas Tech University where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. After realizing he couldn’t “swim with the whales” or “run with the bulls” as a profession, Eddie jumped into the sales world where he immediately built a solid career and a great life for himself and his growing family. Ultimately, his persistent drive for success and his unmatched work ethic led him to start and run two successful businesses. His latest business, HSE (Hospital Specialty Equipment), serves hospitals and medical facilities worldwide.
Eddie was committed to his work but he most loved adventures and traveling, never meeting a challenge he didn’t want to tackle right away and, most importantly, sharing it with those he loved whether it was scuba diving, snorkeling, exploring, skydiving, climbing, bungee jumping, running with the bulls, river rafting or flying. But Eddie always prioritized his time on giving and loving. His passions included anything involving family, children, water and animals. He spent years donating his time and money to Special Olympics, visiting and supporting orphanages around the world, taking care of any kind of animal, and supporting children’s advocacy organizations. His actions spoke of his character: intentional, dependable, quick to forgive and quicker to help when needed. He was truly happiest when he was doing something for someone else. In the past 6 years, his world has revolved around his two precious grandchildren. His love for them was fierce and all-encompassing. He relished his role as PaPa and no one was safe from videos and stories of Liora and Isaac!
Eddie was predeceased by his beloved great grandmother, Ila Anderson, his grandmother, Norma Zellmer, his uncle, Dean Jefcoat and his great aunt, Ruth Cooper. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Cindy Watkins Williams, his parents Edward and Sandy Williams, his brother and sister-in-law Robert and Dana Williams, his stepchildren and their spouses, Chris and Meaghan Keith and Ashley and Seth Pepkin and his grandbabies Liora and Isaac Pepkin. Others surviving him include his cousins Chuck (Jennifer) Williams and kids, Travis Williams and kids, Dana (Byron) Simpson, his uncles George Williams and Don Williams, his aunt Judy Henderson and many more nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A Celebration of Eddie’s Life has been scheduled for Thursday, September 12, 2024, 1pm, at Stonebriar Funeral Home located at 10375 Preston Road, Frisco, TX 75033.
In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that you GIVE and LOVE just like Eddie did. Donations in Memory of Eddie be made to Special Olympics Texas (Young Athletes Program), the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County, or an Animal Shelter of your choice.
