So sorry for the passing of Doug. Went to look him up, wasn't expecting to find this . Played baseball with him in Little League. 3 Championships in a row. Great pitcher. I was his catcher. Played football against him in high school. Was a good friend. Prayers to the family.

I graduated high school with Doug. I’m an administrator for our class of 72 site and was on the hunt for classmates when I came across the obit. Just to say we all loved Doug. I have great memories of family times together with Doug as a quiet, gentle man who just always seemed to so easy going and fun to be around and enjoy good conversation with. He leaves his soul mate with a void in her heart that only time will heal. And he leaves a precious daughter that will forever recall the great memories she loved and lived with her dad. Jenny and Alexandra we are praying for God’s love, grace, peace, comfort and healing in your lives! We love you both!

God always sends special people into your life without any explanation at all, all of sudden this angel appears out of nowhere. I've only known Doug for a short period of time but I feel like we are brothers. We have so much in common, oh do I wish we were football teammates back in the day, boy did we tell some war stories! He was so easy to talk to and admire. He was blessed with rare leadership qualities that we most of the time just say and not understand the true meaning of integrity, passion for others, dependability and never give up attitude regardless of the adversities. These were qualities that were obviously instilled by his parents. Miss you my brother, RIP 

Doug was a great friend and roommate in college.  We shared a lot of good times both on and off the field.  God Bless you my good friend and may he wrap your family in His loving arms and comfort them as only He can do!

Doug was always a perfect fit in our family and was always involved with all our family activities and reunions.
We were at their house for Easter and he helped and worked so hard to make sure we all enjoyed the dinner and all. He was very knowledgable about pretty much everything. We will really miss you Doug.

Doug was a special guy and a great quarterback for the UTA Mavericks back in 1975-76. I had spoken with Doug recently, and he was looking forward to our next team reunion. We were all looking forward to seeing him as well.
He will be greatly missed by all of us. God take Doug in your arms and may he rest in peace.
