Carlos Trevino Cantu, age 84, of Carrollton, Texas passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024. He was born April 9, 1939 to his loving parents Guadalupe (Cantu) and Alfredo Trevino in Linares, Nuevo León, Mexico.
As a dad, he loved to give his children a nightly blessing and each morning he would wake each one of them by pulling on their toes. Even as adults, before they would leave he would bless them by doing the sign of the cross on their foreheads. He also loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Some things that brought joy to Carlos’ life were Mariachis, refurbishing antique cars, traveling to his beloved Mexico, making everyone laugh with his silly jokes, dancing, watching old Western movies and telling stories of his childhood.
Carlos Trevino Cantu is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 63 years, Elda (Cavazos), of Ciudad Mier Tamaulipas, Mexico; his beloved children, Laura (Ken) Green, Sandra (Luis) Escobar, Juan Carlos (Aurora) Trevino, Claudia (Mateo) Sandoval, Cynthia (Daniel) Ozuna, Adan (Josie) Trevino, Aldo (Aide) Trevino; 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters (Dallas/Linares N.L.) and three brothers (Linares, N.L.)
