Thomas Nelson Robinson

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 8, 2018. Born to Thomas Martin Robinson, Jr., and Dorothy Hayhurst Robinson in February of 1938, he attended Fresno High School, Menlo College in Menlo Park, California, and the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and was an award winning swimmer and water polo player.

His real estate career began in 1959, after college graduation, when he went to work for T. M. Robinson, Jr. Realtors, his family owned real estate company in Fresno, California. In 1975, he joined Pearson Commercial, now Newmark Grubb Pearson, where he was a Vice-President and a senior member of the office division. During his 43 year tenure with the company, he was extensively involved in the real estate community as a past President of Fresno Association of Realtors, past President of California Association of Realtors, Director of the National Association of Realtors, and he also carried the designation of Certified Property Manager (CPM).

He loved good food, sports, music, Las Vegas, NV, playing cards and roulette, fine art, reading, traveling, the UOP Tigers, and he supported his hometown team the Fresno State Bulldogs. Most of all he loved his family, Sonja, his wife of 57 and a half years; his children, Patty Leyendecker and husband Mark, Tom Robinson and wife Suzy, Linda Keane and husband Mike, Mike Robinson and wife Susan, and Doug Robinson; his grandchildren, Meredith and Eric Leyendecker, Katie, Sara, and Tommy Robinson, J.T. and Dominic Keane, and Sam and Ben Robinson; his brother, Justin "Jud" Robinson and wife Jill; and all of the wonderful relatives and friends he leaves behind.
