Born on July 13, 1933 in Kerman, California and passed March 11, 2019 in Fresno, California.
He was 85 years old.
Tom worked for FMC Corporation in Fresno, California for 30 years and at the same time was a farmer in Kerman for more than 50 years. He enjoyed watching football and baseball. He especially loved listening to classic country music and watching cowboy movies. Camping at Pismo Beach was one of the great pleasures Tom, Marie and family looked forward to every summer.
Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Marie of 50 years, his parents William and Marie Haar, his sisters, Wilma Rau, Dorothy Hayes, Roberta Hayes, brothers, Bill Haar, Jim Haar, John Haar, Fred Haar, and great-grandson Grant Farrell.
He is survived by his daughter Leslie and son-in-law David; son Tommy and daughter-in-law Tammy, and son Bill and daughter-in-law Kim. He is also survived by six grandchildren; Megan, Patrick, Travis, Ashley, Michael and Jahna and one great-grandson Raymond. Tom leaves behind four sisters; Vera Ward, Betty Baptista, Nancy Toste and Margie Rose along with many nieces and nephews. Tom also is survived by his companion, Beverley Tait.
Tom dearly loved his family and we will miss him tremendously.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Stephens & Bean, 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm.
Graveside service will be on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Fresno Memorial Gardens at 11:00 am.
