Sharon Elaine Huber

She was raised on a farm in the Easton area attending Manning Elementary and Washington Union High School. After high school, she attended Fresno State University which during that time she married her high school sweetheart Richard Huber.

After they were married, Sharon worked for the phone company and then Sam's Luggage in Fresno. In 1968, she turned her attention to farming. In addition to farming, Sharon was actively involved with the community by taking roles in her children's school, along with taking a leadership role in 4-H. She was also a leader in the La Paloma Guild, receiving a Certificate of Appreciation from the Fresno Historical Society in 1992.

The main joy of her life were her grandchildren. Sharon devoted her time to never missing a moment of their lives. She especially enjoyed taking them shopping and out to eat. Sharon also took great enjoyment in her hobby of photography.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Mike and Stanley.

Sharon is survived by her husband Richard of 56 years; her sons Alan and Brett and his wife Sharilyn; and her sister, Thelma Burton. Grandma was loved to the moon and back by her grandchildren Sara Acosta, Tiffany Huber, Travis Huber, Jared Huber, and Haylie Bueno.

The family would like to thank the caregivers Rachell, Kimberlee, and Mary for their wonderful care. Also to the staff at Hinds Hospice and A Place Called Home for the care and comfort given to Sharon.

Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m.

A Graveside Service will be held at Washington Colony Cemetery, 7318 S. Elm Ave., Fresno, on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 1:30 p.m.

Remembrances may be made to Hinds Hospice or the Alzheimer's Foundation.
