Roger Torres

Rogelio “Roger” Torres passed away on April 4th, 2023, at the age of 63, with his family by his side. Rogelio is survived by his two children, Rogelio J. Torres and Sara J. Chacon; and his siblings, Leticia T. Sepulveda, Armando J. Torres, Maricella Torres, Enedelia Payan, Martin Torres, and Daniel Torres. Rogelio was preceded in death by his wife, Anita M. Torres; his parents, Jesus and Ninfa Torres; and two siblings, Javier Torres and Maria Del Rosario Munoz.

Rogelio was born in San Antonio, TX on November 4,1959 and moved with his family to Fresno, CA in 1961. He worked as a Letter Carrier at the United States Postal Service for 33 years until he retired in 2018. In September of 1984, he married his wife, Anita Medina Torres. On January 12,1993 and August 14, 1998, Rogelio and Anita welcomed their children into the world.

Rogelio was a devoted father who would do anything for his children. He attested that raising his two children was his greatest life achievement. He cherished quality time with family and would coordinate vacations to Cayucos in the summertime. Rogelio took pleasure in outdoor activities such as camping, barbequing, birdwatching and keeping his yard in perfect condition. He loved his truck and daydreamed about upgrading and enhancing it one day. Rogelio will be missed dearly by family, friends, and all who knew him.

A rosary service will be held Monday, April 17,2023 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel, 202 North Teilman, Fresno, CA 93706. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, April 18,2023 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at St John's Cathedral, 2814 Mariposa St, Fresno, CA 93721.
