Robert “Bob” Miller, passed away on January 8, 2019. He was born in Fresno on June 9 1931 to Eugene and Clara Miller. He was the oldest of three children (siblings Richard Miller and Priscilla Heck). He served in the Korean War conflict as an Army military policeman. Upon completing his enlistment Bob married Marian Cassaretto and finished his criminology degree at Fresno State College. Bob’s career included the US Department of Treasury (drug enforcement agent) and the California State Adult Parole. Following Marian’s passing he married Grace Johnson and together they enjoyed retirement. Bob enjoyed summers at the Bass Lake cabin, attending Fresno State football games, the company of his beloved pets and “rambling” with his granddaughters.
He is survived by Grace Miller: daughter Rebecca Avants and husband James: daughter Roberta Miller and partner Don Fini: son Gordon Miller and wife Kelle: sister Priscilla Heck (of San Jose): granddaughters (Desiree and Tarra): numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Friday January 18, 2019 From 4-7p.m.
A Memorial Service will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home Saturday January 19, 2019 at 10 a.m.
