Rita Beza Avina passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021 at the age of 78. She was born in Austin, Texas on October 3rd, 1942. Rita was the eleventh child, of thirteen, born to Benjamin and Jesusa Beza.
She married the love of her life, Jim Avina, on March 19, 1962, and they were married for almost 59 years. They raised two sons and a daughter together. She was a beautiful loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and could never say no to anyone.
Rita was the center of every family gathering and her freshly made from scratch tortillas and iced tea were staples to any gathering. She loved to dance, cook, bake, and babysit all her grandchildren. She was spotted many times on a scooter, and at the water park, chasing after her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Jim and their children Richard, Michael, and Yvette; her sisters Inez, Frances, Mary, and brother Joe; her grandchildren Joshua, Nick, Alexandria, Samantha, Jacob, Vince, Richard Jr., Matteo, Sarah, and Cole; her great-grandchildren Keiran, Atlas, and Ronan.
Her smile, laughter, and unconditional love will be missed from her family, friends and anyone who met her.
