Ray taught me how to drive a forklift. I’ll miss you and how much I would laugh in the Fresno State warehouse.

Ray loved working at Fresno State he made a lot of lifetime friends.
I hired him as a student assistant, and he went on to become property clerk. We still were in the same building and continued to work together. He was always there for me when we were in need of extra help.  He loved his own student assistants and was quite the social butterfly. And had a laugh that filled the warehouse. He treated everyone with kindness and was generous with his guys making sure they had water and drinks.  Treating them to the occasional lunch.  Although some people didn't approve. Ray went above and beyond and was saddened when he had to leave.  Was in shocked when I heard the news. 
Only sorry had not talked to him in a while to check on him but life gets in the way. 
My heart breaks for his mom and family and his friends. He was way too young.

Knowing of Ray’s passing has been difficult. I met him at Fresno State and our friendship continued even after state. Our conversations about our families and life will be missed for sure. His laugh and his “mira pues” when we talked, I will miss the most. He was always kind, generous and thoughtful. He went out of his way to help you in any way he could. He did so much for everyone and his laughter was contagious. He will be greatly missed.

Ray was a big inspiration for me to get involved with CSUEU union.  Every time I would run into Ray he would say "Get involved Fortune, you would be good at it!"   Ray had a contagious smile and a can do attitude.  Ray will be deeply missed.  My condolences go out to his family.  Ray's family at Fresno State misses him.  Rest in peace my friend.

Ray has been so missed here at Fresno State.  I was sad to hear the news of his passing.

My heart is broken to know my sweet cousin is no longer among us. He’s soul was big and bright. His smile was contagious big and beautiful that would light up a room. He loved his Texas family. I know he is in heaven laughing and telling jokes with our loved ones that were there to greet him. He will truly be missed by all.  May your perpetual light shine bright always and forever. Ray took me in and hired me to work on campus in 2004. Little did I know I would be meeting a friend for the next 20 years. Ray always tried to take care of his guys as much as possible, and always had some funny comments to make during work. He was the best boss I ever had and even after working at Fresno State we would see each other regularly, even until a month before he passed. I still can't believe it, and you will be sorely missed brother.

My most sincere condolences go out to Ray and his family and friends. Ray’s contagious laugh and joyous laughter transcended walls. It could make your day. He even made me a special treat one time that he called “Hey Now.” I am certain only he knew the recipe and I will never forget it. It deeply saddens me to hear of his passing. RIP my friend.

Ray was a joy to work with at Fresno State. He would look for me if I needed a desk, a certain chair, or equipment from the warehouse.    I have missed his laughter since he retired.  He will surely be missed by all.

Ray was always happy and helpful at Fresno State.  I'm shocked of the news and my condolences to his family.  Ray was one of a kind.

Our deepest condolences to Rays mom and family during this difficult time.  We are still in shock having heard of Big Ray having passed.  Memories began to flow back to the time you were very young and the day we met up again at Fresno State.  Finding out when I spoke to your mom that it was true that you had passed.  It took all of me not to buckle and my wife still cries “this can’t be true”.  We always considered you part of our family. We continue to pray our Rosaries for your great transition as your go to a better place of peace.

I met Ramirito when he was bout 13-14 through his mama’s softball team.  He was always full of laughter.  I named him “Tiny” since he was so tall.  Tiny dropped in to c his mama at work from time to time and always came by my office to share his smile.  Some years back his mama, him n I used to go to concerts and he was always so attentive to his mama, looking out for her.  He used to entertain us with his jokes before concert started.  Maria, my heart goes out to you.  May you find strength in the Lord.   RIP Tiny

Ray was always very helpful with whatever request we sent in. He was always willing to go the extra mile in helping you with what you needed.  You will be forever missed Ray. We are grateful to have known you. Rest in Peace

Every day Ray tried to make working at Fresno State a fun and memorable experience.

Ray was a real light on the Fresno State campus-- as a colleague, as a friend, as someone who looked out for his fellow workers with skill and with care. I loved his laugh, his gentle teasing, and most of all his kind words of support when I first started working here. RIP

I'll always remember Ray's booming laugh and his huge smile as he entered a room. He was the best!

Ray was always very nice and helped me with what I needed from the Warehouse. He was easygoing and responded quickly to our moving requests. Rest in peace, Ray. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Ray was always there to let us root through the stuff at the warehouse, looking for the diamonds in the rough, but he would never let me take any shrink wrap back to Engineering.
