Pete Robledo was born and raised in Soledad, California to Jose and Victoria Robledo. He was the youngest of eight, having three older sisters and four older brothers. Pete attended Main Street Elementary School in Soledad and graduated from Gonzales Highschool in 1964. In 1965 he joined the service and was in the 101st Airborne Division.
Pete and Lali were married on June 3, 1972 in Soledad, California where they had a double wedding with her sister Hilda and Charlie Jaurigue. They resided in Salinas, California for over 40 years and then moved to Fresno, Ca 13 years ago. Pete and Lali were married almost 52 years and shared a beautiful and amazing marriage which was full of love, and laughter.
Pete was a devoted family man, who loved his wife, daughter and grandson very much and above all else. He was a beloved husband to Maria “Lali” and a devoted father to Eileen and grandfather to Logan. His kindness and generosity made him a cherished, honest, fair and loyal friend to many.
In 2006 Pete retired from McCormick Schillings after working there for 40 years. He said every day is a Saturday from here on out.
In his free time, he loved to hike and watch his favorite football team the 49ers. He was also a volunteer at the Salinas Airshow shuttling attendees to and from the airport.
Pete Robledo is survived by his wife, Maria Leonor Robledo, daughter Eileen Robledo Goodwin, grandson Logan Goodwin, siblings Manuel Robledo and Lupe Robledo, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, brother/sister- in-laws, and friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents Jose and Victoria Robledo, sisters Mercedes Cazares and Ramona Martinez, and his brothers Ramon Robledo, Rafael Robledo, and Joe Robledo.
A funeral service will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 9:30 AM for Recitation Of The Holy Rosary and 10:00 AM for Mass of Christian Burial. Military honors will be conducted after the funeral mass services. Reception will be held following the military honors at Holy Spirit Church in Logan Hall.
Pete Robledo will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his legacy will live on through his family, and friends.
