Patricia Jean (Trisha) Hedstrom entered into eternal peace on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fresno, CA after a brief illness and diagnosis of acute myeloid leukemia. She totally trusted in the Lord and was hopeful to the end. She is now healed and resting in His strong arms.
She was born April 25,1951 in Bakersfield to parents, Laura Jordan (deceased 2019) and Leonard Jordan (deceased 2017).
She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 42 years, Raymond Hedstrom. She leaves behind her loving daughter, Mindi Crooks of Oklahoma and her grandson, Ryan Crooks, stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. Trisha was the youngest of 4 daughters. Her sisters, Glenda Rose (Ronnie), Betty Plett (Gary), and Kay Hall (Roger) will miss her terribly.
After growing up in the Bakersfield area, her family moved to Fresno in the 1960's. Trisha went back to school at FCC and earned her RN degree. She worked as an RN at Cedar Vista Hospital. She and Ray worshipped the Lord and served Him at People's Church in Fresno.
After she and Ray retired, they became volunteer COPs with the Fresno Police Dept. and she did volunteer work with many other groups. She enjoyed monthly lunches with her nursing friends and her work-out friends. The "Sister/Mom Vacation" was a yearly highlight for the "girls", either at the coast, usually Cambria, or to Lake Tahoe; one year to Disneyland and Catalina. She will be deeply missed by many adoring nieces and nephews and many cousins in California and Oklahoma. She will also be missed by Ray's 3 children; Lynne, Tina, and Eric and many grandchildren and his large extended family of brothers and sisters. She leaves behind many friends, some from early childhood. In recent years, Ray and Trisha added a beloved dog, Gunnar, to their family.
Those who knew her can testify, she was the "engine that ran the train". Family and friends counted on her organization and planning talent for many family events and we will dearly miss her sweet, caring demeanor. She loved her family and friends and her passing leaves a huge hole in our hearts.
A Celebration of Trisha's Life will be held at Peoples Church on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.
