Noma Joyce Marshall

She grew up in Tranquillity excelling as a straight A student and member of the swing and tennis teams. Most importantly, she met and married Cal Marshall (Class of 43) upon her graduation. After marrying in 1945, they located in the Five Points area and raised their family. They were married over 60 years before Dad's death in 2007.

In addition to raising three children, mom was proud to be named as the first female Postmaster of the Five Points Post Office by then President Eisenhower. After leaving the Post Office, mom later went to work as a Fresno County Court Clerk retiring in 1993 to care for her long awaited grandchildren.

Cal and Joyce are survived by their three children, David Marshall, Dennis Marshall, and Debby Knowles; two grandchildren, Jason and Jared; and one great-grandchild Jackson.

The grandchildren were clearly the apple of her eye. Mom's parents and brother preceded her in death.

A Memorial Service will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel. on Friday, February 18, 2011, at 11:00 a.m.
