Nancy Lee Schacher passed away peacefully on May 19, 2023, at Nancy Hinds Hospice. She was predeceased by her husband Gerald (aka Jerry or Big Jer) Allen Schacher, her mother Wilma Doloras Hall, and her father George Raymond Hermant.
Nancy was born in Westwood, California, and loved showing her family and friends the hospital where she was born on their annual trips to Lake Almanor.
Nancy is survived by her daughter Lisa Michaele Pendleton (and husband Rick Pendleton), her daughter Kara Dawn Schacher, her grandson Derek Alan Pendleton (and wife Kayla Pendleton), her grandson Austin Scott Pendleton, her granddaughter Lauren Adele Pendleton, and her two great grandchildren Penelope June Pendleton and Arthur Alan Pendleton.
Nancy and Jerry were huge fans of the Fresno State Bulldog Basketball program, as well as the Fresno State Football program. They enjoyed tailgates prior to the games with all of their friends joining in, and they very much enjoyed traveling with the Fresno State basketball team during the Tarkanian era.
Nancy loved travel, both international and domestic, and enjoyed several fabulous trips with Jerry prior to his passing, and thereafter with her grandchildren.
Anyone that knew Nancy knew of her passion for shopping, as well as her passion for holiday decorating! Her home was always filled with beautiful decorations for each holiday as it came.
In her final days Nancy was blessed to be surrounded by friends and family. The family would like to thank all of her wonderful friends that gave her comfort in these final weeks, as well as giving her the blessing of friendship over the years. The family would also like to express their thanks to the nurses and staff at Nancy Hinds Hospice for the wonderful care that was provided to Nancy.
