Mel Combs proudly served his country, stationed in Germany, during the years 1951-1955.
After returning from the army, Mel spent a few years working at Western Union prior to moving out
to San Joaquin where he spent the majority of his life farming.
Mel was an avid golfer. He took great pleasure in golfing with his friends with whom he developed
some life long friendships.
Those who knew Mel, knew the deep love he had for family and how he cherished his yearly trips
back to Oklahoma, and jaunts through South Dakota.
He will forever be missed and in our hearts. Until we see you again.
