Maria Elena Gonzales

Maria Elena Gonzales passed away on October 19, 2022, at the age of 78. She was born on June 5, 1944 to Paul and Belen Bargas. Maria was a dedicated mother who treasured all her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as grandma or “Nana”. She had many friends and was a well-loved member of the Jehovah’s Witness community. Her hobbies and interests included family, gardening, knitting, and attending services at the Kingdom Hall. Maria is survived by her sister Paulina Bargas, brother Jesse Bargas, son George Gonzales, and daughter Josie Haynes. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life for Maria will be held Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 10:00 am at Lisle Funeral Home, 1605 L Street, Fresno, CA 93721.
