Mrs. Margaret Anita Harris

Margi was born in Peoria, IL, on May 15, 1929, and graduated from Bloomington High School in Bloomington, IL.

In 1948, while attending the University of Iowa, Margi met and fell in love with

Norman "Bucky" K. Harris. Bucky and Margi were married almost 65 years.

Margi enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends in both Fresno

and Rancho Mirage, CA. She also loved golf, lunch, and bridge with

her girlfriends and was an active member of the Candlelight Guild for many years.

A beautiful person inside and out, Margi always put God, her family and friends above herself.

She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

The Harris family would like to thank Dr. Christopher R. Perkins and his staff;

and Margi's team of caregivers for the wonderful care they provided for our Mom.

Margi was preceded in death by her husband Bucky; her father and mother,

Russell and Chloe Wake; and her sister, Rosellen Dillon.

Margi is survived by her children and spouses, Tim and Leanne Harris,

Patti and Mike Carey, Bill and Susy Harris, Suzy and Ben Ewell,

and John and Kina Harris; grandchildren, Caroline, Joseph and Matthew Harris, Jordan,

Taryn and Jackson Harris, Harrison, John-John and Tucker Ewell, Austin and Nanda Ewell,

Brice and Jessica Ewell, Mikaela, Zachary and Nicholas Harris;

and great-granddaughters, Kaytn Ewell, and Madelyn Ewell.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held the

Shrine of St. Therese Catholic Church on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at 11:00 a.m.
