It is with deepest sadness that we announce the death of Margaret “Midge” June Gentry. She was born on June 2, 1928 and passed away on April 28, 2018. She died on the same day, as her beloved husband George, who passed in 2013. Midge was blessed with seven children, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren and her beloved weenie dog Penny.
Midge was a woman of many talents, including bowling perfect games, making things grow in her garden, sewing and making biscuits and gravy that could make you weep. She loved to fish, and was a lifelong Giants fan. Amongst all the other things, Midge was beyond proud of her vast progeny and loved them with her whole being. To know her, truly was to love her and she will be missed by us all until the end of our days.
Services will be held on Friday May 4th, 2018 at the Stephens & Bean Chapel, 202 N. Teilman, Fresno, beginning at 1 p.m. with services to follow graveside.
Midge enjoyed books immensely and due to macular degeneration, lost her ability to read, toward the end of her life.
