Jill was born on September 15, 1966 and attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and San Joaquin Memorial High School where she was a multi-sport athlete. Jill earned a full scholarship to attend California State University, Fresno where she played softball as a starting center fielder. She graduated from Fresno State with a Bachelor’s Degree and earned a Master’s Degree in Criminology. She went to work for Pacific Gas & Electric Company where she promoted through the ranks during her 29 year career as a Senior Claims Investigator for the Law Department.
Jill's family, friends and her Golden Labrador "Ayla" were her joy. She loved when all would join her at her cabin where they enjoyed the outdoors. Jill’s laughter was contagious, instantly making anyone around smile or want to join in. She would often host the entire family and extended family for holidays and gatherings (with Mariachis, of course), always being overly generous with all she had to those she loved. Jill had a beautiful soul; full of kindness, grace, and love for all those she knew and those who knew her. Jill was incredibly independent, loyal, successful and beyond beautiful in so many ways; she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her mother, Eva Polanco; father, Henry Polanco; brother, Tony and his wife, Janet; sister, Annette Grieser and her husband, Tom; sister, Debbie Martinez and her husband, Gary; nephews and nieces, David Polanco, Michele Martinez, Michael Martinez, Nicholas Martinez, Brandon Martinez, Gabrielle Grieser, and Zachary Grieser, and numerous cousins, and dear friends.
