Lily Heims was born in Kerman, Ca. to Amerigo and Bruna Lucchesi, proud Italian-Americans, who emigrated from Lucca, Italy. Lily was raised on the family’s ranch in Kerman where she along with her siblings developed a strong constitution and work ethic from hard working parents. Lily graduated from Kerman High School and went on to become the City Manager of Kerman. This is where she met and later married Albert Heims, the love of Lily’s life, described by Lily as the best husband anyone could have. By Albert’s side, Lily managed their ranch in Kerman until Albert’s death in 1969. Lily eventually sold the ranch and obtained a real estate license, Lily’s achievements in real estate and business management were significant as she managed several real properties as a private business woman from the 1970’s through her retirement in 2000. After her retirement, Lily received exceptional and loving care from Maria (Jenny) Contino, who Lily and family considered as another family member. Lily was a caring aunt and sister, displaying involvement and generosity in her family’s lives. Lily’s personality was absolutely authentic and unique, described by those who knew her well to be “Quite a Character.”
Lily was preceded in death by her parents Amerigo and Bruna Lucchesi, siblings Albert and Harry Lucchesi, and nephews Randy and Brian Dauderman.
Lily is survived by her sister Esther Dauderman and nephews Jeff and Ron Lucchesi and Craig Dauderman as well as several great nieces and nephews. Lily will be missed and loved by those who knew her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
