Leo was born in Olton, Texas, to Leo & Opal Jameson, Sr. He grew up in the San Joaquin Valley with his parents and siblings. Meeting Martha Carr at church in Coalinga, they married and raised their 5 children in the Fresno Co. and Madera area. Leo retired from PG&E after 27 years. He was always a farmer at heart. One of his greatest enjoyments was the time he spent evenings and weekends farming and raising cattle in mountain pastures on horseback.
Dad moved into the presence of our Lord Jesus on Saturday, May 18, 2013, surrounded by the love of his family. He had fought a battle with cancer with our Mom foremost in his mind and his love for his Family close behind. We are blessed to have confidence that Dad loved Jesus as his Savior, and loved being in the House of the Lord desiring that others would know Jesus too. Dad loved our Mom faithfully for over 60 years. He loved his Kids with faithful provision, correction and teaching common sense which is uncommon today. He loved his Grandkids and Great-grandkids with silliness, teasing and ice cream. He loved his siblings, and their kids and enjoyed the large family gatherings of cousins, cousins and cousins. Dad enjoyed friendships with loyalty to a fault. He did his utmost to be a Man of his word. By example and word he taught us how to work hard and live simply. He believed in living a life that did not cause others to be tempted or cause someone to stumble into sin or addiction.
With his life, he loved the Lord, his family, his church family and friends. Oh, how we will miss you Dad. Yet, how thankful we are for you and for our blessed hope in Jesus to join you Worshiping in Heaven.
