Dad was born Friday December 18, 1936 in the beautiful and sunny state Phoenix Arizona he was born to Illario Isabel Acosta and Maria Louise Acosta he was the oldest of 11 children which are Gilbert, Rudy, Robert, Illario, Leonard, Daniel, Alice, Josie, Esther and Isabel. Dad had 10 children Larry, Donald, Nancy, Donna, Paula, Rudy, Katherine, Lazaro jr, Daniel and Sam. He has 28 grandchildren 44 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. He was husband to his beautiful bride Wilma Gail Acosta who he absolutely loved, and often sang vicente Fernandez songs to, he quickly became wise and on Monday October 31, 1960 made her his forever life partner and the one he wanted to do life with everyday here on earth. He was a hard working man who provided for his family his entire life. He worked with his father Illario starting at the young age of 6 and eventually went on to work in many other fields of employment until his mid 20’s when he made the decision to go into business for himself creating and launching his Gardening/Landscaping business in which he was very successful in and loved by all of his clients in which he built really great relationships with and bonds that turned them from customers into family.
In 2012 after 60 years dad decided to stepped away from working and stepped into a much deserved retirement. Enjoying his retirement dad loved to take trips mainly to the coast he absolutely could not get enough of the ocean it was his place of peace and quiet. It also gave him joy to go and visit his brothers and sisters to talk and catch up. He was loved by everyone who knew him and adored by his family
A visitation for Lazaro will be held Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at The Resort Church, 4954 E. Ashlan Ave, Fresno, California 93726, followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 AM.
