Kimie was an excellent student, receiving her high school diploma from City Honors High School in Inglewood, her RN degree from Fresno City College in the summer of 2016, and was in the process of completing her BSN at the time of her passing. Kimie was widely respected for her dedication and professionalism in her care of patients and their families, as a registered nurse in the intensive care unit at Saint Agnes Medical Center; as an R.N., she was beloved for her kind spirit, enthusiasm and infectious spirit.
Nursing was a lifelong love for Kimie, second only to her love for her young daughter, Aaliyah. Kimie was a devoted mother for nearly two years and worked to provide the best life she could for Aaliyah. Mommy and daughter dates were the highlight of days off, and Kimie was already working to ensure Aaliyah grow to be as kind and talented as she was.
Kimieona Holt transitioned from earth to glory on May 4th, 2019. She was steadfast in her faith and believed that “life is short, but heaven is forever.”
Her sisters Aleta and Bridget Wiggins preceded her in death.
Lord, let a double portion of Kimie’s love, faithfulness and strength fall upon those who remain: daughter, Aaliyah; mother Marilyn Holt; three brothers, Cade Ambrosio, Simon and Jose Holt; two sisters, Tamara (Allen) Washington and Melissa Holt; aunt Cheryl Lang; nephews Theo, Brandon, Jeremiah, Taveon and Theon; nieces Tanisha, Cierra and Talen; two cousins Sean and Dawn; 7 great nieces and nephews; mentor Kenneth Thompson; Aaliyah’s godparents, Porfirio and Edwina Dominguez; and a host of relatives and friends.
