Juanita grew up in Kerman where her family farmed raisins. She and her sister Joyce grew up working on the farm. They along with their close friend Sharron Taylor, had many fun activities including tap dancing. In high school she was the head cheerleader and met her high school sweet heart Donald Stanley. Donald Stanley began working for her father in high school and was kept in line by being fired on several occasions by Juanita unbeknownst to her father. They were married on October 30, 1957 when she was 20 years old. One year later in September, they welcomed their first born son and named him Mark. Two years later in 1960 they welcomed a beautiful baby girl and named her Vicki. Juanita and her sister Joyce and friend Sharon remained best friends throughout their lives and often gathered their families together for fun activities. Juanita loved her family greatly and was easily their biggest fans in every aspect of their lives. She attended every sporting event they had from football to volleyball to cheer. Juanita and Donald were very proud of their kids and were thrilled when they both received scholarships to play in college. As much as Juanita loved being a mom she had even more fun being a grandma. Just as with her own children, she was their biggest fans and went to every sporting event possible. Juanita loved to bring the family together every Christmas Eve and spoil them with delicious German foods and presents. She ensured everyone had a wonderful time. Juanita also was thrilled when she became a great grandma. Just as with her kids and grandkids she loved being there for them and seeing them. Family was her biggest joy in life and even in the end when she prayed she thanked God for her wonderful family. Juanita was greatly loved by her family and will be missed. We know that she is so elated to be in heaven with Jesus and her family and look forward to when we all will be reunited with her.
Juanita is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Mark and Mary, her son-in-law Tim, her grandchildren Christina and her husband Ben, Micah and his wife Lauren, Daniel and his wife Madison and Aaron and his soon to be wife Thali. Great grandchildren Chloe, Jedson, Jackson and Naomi. She was preceded in death by her sister Joyce, brother-in-law Charlie, husband Donald, and daughter Vicki.
Funeral services will be held at Cornerstone Community Church, 21650 11th Street, Reedley, CA 93654 at 10:00 am. A graveside service will be held at Fresno Memorial Gardens at 2:30 pm.
