Jose was a Switchman for Southern Pacific Railroad from 1966-1993. He volunteered many years coaching youth soccer at both Aynesworth Elementary and Roosevelt High School. Other volunteer opportunities include serving at PTA President at Aynesworth Elementary and as a volunteer at St. John's Cathedral.
Jose joins his wife, Amelia of 56 years who passed June 9, 2018.
Jose is survived by his children, daughter Deanna Carrillo and her husband Carlos of Colorado Springs, Colorado; son Jose Jimenez and his wife Rosie; son Lawrence Jimenez, and daughter Jeanette Zamorano and her husband John Tirzo, all from Fresno; Mr. Jimenez is also survived by four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Monday, December 13, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm followed by a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony Mary Claret Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Belmont Memorial Park.
