Jorge Alberto Rojas entered into Our Lord's Kingdom on Thursday, February 7, 2013, at 87 years of age. He was born on September 25, 1924, in Havana, Cuba.
He and his family immigrated to America in 1962 and settled in Chowchilla and Madera. He was a foreign language teacher at Chowchilla High School for 28 years. As an accomplished musician, he enjoyed playing with several bands in Cuba and in the Valley.
He is survived by his wife Yolanda; children, Helena Sabala, and Jorge Antonio Jr.; son-in-law, Juan Sabala; and grandchildren, Jorge Rafael and Marisa Andrea.
A Recitation of the Holy Rosary and Celebration of Life will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Friday, February 15, 2013, at 2:00 p. m.
