John Greggory Nelson

John Greggory Nelson, age 67, passed away unexpectedly in North Ridgeville, Ohio on June 20, 2021. He was born on December 11, 1953 in Fresno, California the son of John and Margaret Nelson. He survived his sister, Pamela Bauer who passed away in 2017.

John graduated from Fresno High School in 1972 and attended Fresno City College. John was a loyal employee at Pacific Gas & Electric for 38 years until his retirement in 2018.

He is survived by his three children, son Keith Nelson and partner Rocky Gipson, daughter Jennifer Nelson, and daughter Jessy Sato and husband Justin Sato. He is also survived by his two grandsons, Kobe (7) and Kameron (5) Sato.

He was an active member of the Fresno Chapter of the Elks and enjoyed dancing, traveling, fine dining, and most notably- spending time with his family especially his grandsons.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021 at the Shrine of St. Therese Church in Fresno, California at 11:00 a.m. Prior to the funeral, a viewing will be held at Stephens & Bean Funeral home between 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Graveside service at St. Peter's Cemetery will take place immediately after the funeral followed by a celebration of life lunch at the Elks Lodge in Fresno, California.
