Mr. John Paul Alchian

1952-2014

John was born in Fresno, CA on August 25, 1952 and passed away in Clovis, CA on August 9, 2014 at the age of 61. He was born to parents Leon Alchian and Anna Thomas Alchian, and was brother to Leon Jr., LeAnn and Rosalee Alchian.

John attended local schools, graduating from Fresno High School in 1970. From there he received his AA degree from Fresno City College in 1973. Upon graduation from City, John worked full-time at Majestic Jewelry and Loan for over 35 years.

He enjoyed his frequent trips to Reno and Table Mountain and was an avid fan of the San Francisco Giants and the San Francisco 49ers.

He was preceded in death by his parents Leon and Anna.

Surviving family members include his son, Darryl; and his daughter, Elizabeth Rose; brother, Leon Jr., and his wife Gina and their son Trevor; sisters, LeAnn and Rosalee; nephew, Nathan; and niece, Roxanna. John will also be missed dearly by his best friend and companion Jane Domino.

Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Monday, August 18, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral service will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Ararat Cemetery.

Donations may be made the St. Agnes Cardiac Care Unit or to a charity of the donor's choice.
