September 4, 1970 -May 14, 2023
Isaac D.T. Garcia was born September 4, 1970 in Fresno, California, to Katherine (Katie) and Ysidro (Isaac) Garcia. Isaac was raised in church his entire life and held many roles, such as President and Secretary of the youth. He also played John in the church’s Christmas play. Isaac attended Winchell Elementary School, Fort Millar Middle School, and Roosevelt School of Performing Arts and participated in a lot of activities. Isaac was involved in soccer, orchestra, played the violin, acted in school plays, and most importantly, sang.
Through his passion for singing, Isaac found his true calling. Isaac never turned down a request to sing, it didn’t matter the occasion. Isaac’s faith in God was very strong and in April 1982, at the age 12, he was baptized in Jesus’ name and gave his life to the Lord, and he never looked back. At 16, Isaac joined ECO Central, the district choir within the Apostolic Assembly and was a member his entire life. As fate would have it, while Isaac was attending an event at a local ice rink with this choir, he would meet the love of his life, Michelle Ronsley. Isaac learned that Michelle was also a singer, making his love for her even stronger. The two dated briefly in high school but ultimately knew that they both had bigger dreams with their music and remained friends. Though they led separate lives for many years, they always found their way back to each other. God knew they were meant to be together. On one of Isaac’s visit home, they rekindled their romance. It was as if no time had passed, and they continued right from where they left off. Their love was so strong and true. They wasted no time and had a spiritual, intimate wedding on the beach in Cambria on October 19, 2019. On August 30, 2020, they made it official at the Chapel of Love in Las Vegas, Nevada. Isaac was the stepfather to Michelle’s daughter Paige. He took this role on without question and put his whole heart into it. He would later do the same with the role of grandpa.
Isaac was revered in his work. He was the lead trainer with his company, Swift Transportation, for 10 years . Those who he trained turned out to be some of the best truck drivers on the road, and often came back to thank him for his guidance. He took this role very seriously and dedicated his life to it. The people he worked with were more than friends, they were a second family to him. He always had a smile, a kind word, and was there for anyone who needed him. He was a loving and dedicated son, brother, and uncle to his family.
Isaac loved the beach more than almost any other place on earth, second only to Disneyland. He and Michelle shared this love and on every visit home, they planned a special trip to their favorite coastal town, Cambria. It was a magical retreat for them, and many beautiful memories were made there.
In everything Isaac did, God was always at the forefront. He was a dedicated family man and was able to show everyone so much love every time he saw them. He was a generous, caring, and loving man. Isaac touched many people’s hearts and will be forever loved and missed.
