Helen Elizabeth Reed

Helen Elizabeth Reed (Davis) passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016, in Fresno, CA. She was born on May 29, 1933, in Monte Vista, CO, to Clarence and Florence Davis. Helen grew up in Monte Vista, CO, then moved to Van Nuys, CA.

After marrying, Helen moved to Fresno, CA, where she was a homemaker and later a savings and loan supervisor at Homes Savings Bank. Helen was a great bowler and belonged to the American Business Women's Association and Philanthropic Educational Organization.

Helen was an amazing wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She supported many charities and participated in many organizations. She will be dearly missed.

Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Stanley Reed.

She is survived by her sisters, Donna Hill of Atascadero, CA, and Sharon Dale of Fresno, CA; children, Jayne Reed of Fresno, CA, James Reed Sr. and his wife Jacqueline of Fresno, CA, and John Reed of Coarsegold, CA; her grandchildren, Sarah Hendricks and her husband Sean of Stockton, CA, James Reed Jr. and his wife Shannon of Fresno, CA, and Julitta Gonzalez and her husband Manuel of Fresno, CA. She also had five beautiful great-grandchildren, Colin Hendricks, Alexis Gonzalez, Isaac Gonzalez, Caleb Hendricks, and Aiden Gonzalez.

A Viewing will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Friday, September 30, 2016, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held at Fresno First Baptist Church on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at 11:00 a.m.
