Francisca was a retired educator, and a graduate from Tranquility Union High School. She earned her Associates of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from West Hills College and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from California State University, Fresno. She served over 15 years as an administrator for the Fresno County Office Of Education Migrant Education program. During this period of time, she received her Master's degree in Administration at Fresno Pacific College. Francisca also received a Master of Arts degree in Linguistics from Fresno Pacific University. She taught first grade for 15 plus years for Fresno Unified School District at Jackson Elementary School. Francisca touched the minds of many young and old.
Francisca is survived by her husband, Guadalupé Gomez; daughter, Veronica Alicia Gomez; father, Jose Perez; sisters, Antonia Quintana, and Alicia Woodley; brother, Vincent Perez; and many nieces, nephews, godchildren, friends and acquaintances.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Friday, February 12, 2016, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony Claret Catholic Church on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Claritian's in Juarez, Mexico, in care of Father Art Gramaje Cmf, 2494 S. Chestnut Ave. Fresno, CA 93725.
