Erik was born August 26, 1988 in Fresno to Richard and Linda Emde. He lived in Fresno his entire life.
Erik was an adventurous, happy, fun-loving child with a mischievous twinkle in his eye. As a child, he loved playing all sports, spending time in the pool, and hanging out with his friends and dog. He eventually focused on and became successful in gymnastics winning state age group championships in rings and vault.
Erik graduated from Clovis West High School in 2006. After High School, he attended and graduated from Fresno State with a degree in Business Administration with a Finance concentration. At Fresno State, he was a member of Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity.
After Fresno State, Erik started his career in banking and continued until his death. As an adult, he loved exploring the mountains, spending time at the beach and watching his Indianapolis Colts.
In 2016, Erik's son, Ashton Emde was born and quickly became the center of his life. They enjoyed video games, the zoo, trips to the snow, adventuring to the local waterparks, biking, and spending time together.
