Darlene spent most of her career as an Insurance Underwriter with AAA. She was a devout member of the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church of Lindsay. Because of Darlene's deep faith, during her illness, it did not overshadow her light-hearted and caring ways. Her outgoing personality, contagious smile and sharp wit would always brighten your day. The Cancer Center staff of Saint Agnes would comment on her joyous spirit during her long and courageous battle.
Darlene was born on May 1, 1953, in Madera to Harold F. and Eva (McGough) Crown. She attended McClane high school where she met and later married Bob Bjornson in 1971. During their marriage they had two children, Cheri and Randy. After spending several years in the Santa Cruz area for Bob's military service, they divorced at which time she moved back to Fresno.
In 1994, she married to Bill Olsen, who was her "rock" from the very beginning. Their love and commitment to each other was unwavering and remained true to their wedding vows.
She is proceeded in death by her beloved grandparents, Joseph "Bun" and Lillie (Goodner) McGough; her father, Harold F. Crown & her aunts, Mary (McGough) Brown Burleson and Geraldine (McGough) Brown.
