Chris Eugene Cole

Chris Eugene Cole, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home in Fresno, California, on May 6, 2023. Born on June 17, 1944, in Long Beach, California, Chris was the son of Eugene Eldridge Cole and Virginia Claire Cole.

Chris was raised in a military family, with his father having a distinguished career in the United States Air Force. Following in his father's footsteps, Chris proudly served in the United States Navy for four years, before embarking on a career as a police officer. Eventually, Chris transitioned into the insurance industry, where he dedicated many years of service before retiring at the age of 60.

Throughout his life, Chris enjoyed golfing, fishing, and traveling. Most of all, he treasured spending quality time with his children and grandchildren, creating cherished memories together.

Chris is survived by his loving wife of many years, Myra Jean Cole; his brother, Gary Cole; his children, Kim Cole and Chris Burton; his stepchildren, Maile Wicklander and Keoni Duarte; and his eight adored grandchildren.

A celebration of Chris's life will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 1 pm at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel, located in Fresno, California. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and to honor the life and legacy of a man who was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
