Carolyn Rosemary Jennings

Mom passed away at age 90, on Thursday, May 5, 2016. She was born on December 6, 1925, to Santi and Niobe Giannoni in South Dos Palos, CA where she was raised. On Mother's Day, May 8, 1949, she married Victor Jennings. They moved to Mendota, CA where he worked the family ranch. They made the move to Fresno in 1955, with their two children where they stayed until Vic's death in 1987.

Carolyn worked at Sprouse Reitz in our young years and after dad's heart attack became secretary for Colonial Van and Storage. She loved working with the truck drivers. She retired in 1991, after her grandbabies started showing up.

Our Mom truly was our best friend and confidante.

Mom was preceded in death by her husband Vic; brothers, Laurence, Mario and Rudy Giannoni; sister, Lola Grove; and her parents.

Carolyn is survived by daughter, Sharon Gomes and husband Les; son, Dennis Jennings and wife Marcia; grandchildren, Bianca and Tyler Jennings, Savannah Gomes, Les Gomes III, Tina Bruhns, Lori Schofield and Elaine Bariteau; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great granddaughters; along with many nieces and nephews.

We would like to thank Dr. Linda Bartell; Dr. Michael Gen; Dr. Amy Gen; and emergency room Dr. Claypool, who treated her like a queen and the staff at St. Agnes Medical Center. Also, thanks to Optimal Hospice and Evergreen Residential Home for the smooth transition.

Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

A Graveside Service will be held at Clovis Cemetery on Thursday, May 12, 2016, at 11:00 a.m.
