AUDREY LESOVSKY DANIELLS
Audrey passed away peacefully on December 7, 2018 in Fresno at age 89.
Audrey was born in Covina, CA. to Henry and Alberta Robinson Lesovsky on August 12, 1929. She attended local schools, graduating from Mt. San Antonio College. She also attended U.C. Santa Barbara, and Fresno State College.
In 1949, she married Robert T. Daniells, at the chapel of the Voorhis Campus of Cal Poly, San Dimas. Their first home was in Lindsay, CA where Audrey taught at Washington Elementary School.
In 1952, they established a home in Hanford, CA where their three children were reared. During their 26 years there, Audrey was active in the Cooperative Nursery Pre-School, PTA and Republican Women and other civic and social activities. She also served as Precinct Chairperson for Kings County Republican Central Committee. She volunteered her time to teach English as a Second Language to new citizens of the community. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hanford, serving as a Deacon.
In 1978 they moved to Fresno. The couple became UC Extension Master Gardeners in 1993 continuing their years of interest in agriculture and horticulture. Together, they enjoyed their many years of travels to thirty-four countries. Audrey was very proud of her Czech heritage, visiting there twice before and twice after the Czech’s gained their freedom.
Sadly, in late 1996, Robert, her husband of 47 years passed away.
Audrey remained active with the Master Gardener program giving more than 1000 hours of volunteer service. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church serving on various committees. She was also a member of Fresno Newcomers Auxiliary Club. She continued to enjoy traveling and can claim visiting all fifty States.
Surviving are her three children: Julia Daniells Enos (John) of Fresno, Richard S. Daniells (Patricia) of Indian Wells and Roger G. Daniells (Ruth Santee) of Stockton. Seven grandchildren, Dora Enos, Molly Daniells Schliem (Jordon), Parker Daniells (Maria), Garrett and Allan Daniells, Beau and Zack Gentry, her sister Catherine L. Obermuller, brothers, Henry and Jeffrey Lesovsky, Great Granddaughters Keegan Schliem, Finley and Bennett Daniells. She was preceded in death by her older brother James.
Memorial Services will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church 50 E. Santa Ana, Fresno on Saturday December 29, 2018 at 1:00pm.
Burial Services in Olive Cemetery, Lindsay CA. will be at a later date.
Although Audrey loved gardening and all the colorful flowers, she had requested that remembrances be may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church Memorial fund P.O Box 5252, Fresno, CA 93755.
