Over his 87 years of life, he served his country, community, and family, he gave back every chance he got. Abraham was active in the United States Marine Corps from 1952-1960. After his discharge he married his wife, Josie Rodriguez on July 18, 1960, they had 2 children, Mark Anthony Rodriguez and Florence Darlene Rodriguez.
Abraham was a family man, a loving, caring and a hard working husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved taking his wife and kids on fishing trips. He liked taking road trips on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He enjoyed laughing, telling stories of himself as a young kid to his grandchildren, joking around with them, and watching his favorite football team play, the San Francisco 49ers. He enjoyed getting together with friends and family, going to car shows, listening to good music and eating good food. He especially enjoyed unexpected visits from his grandkids and making memories. His most favorite thing to do recently was satisfying his sweet tooth. He loved eating pan dulce, Reese's peanut butter cups and drinking coffee.
Abraham went home to the Lord peacefully on November 22, 2022. He was surrounded, supported and cared for by his loving grandchildren the last days of his life. He was survived by his last living sibling, his sister Rebecca Gensley, his 6 grandchildren and their spouses Maria and Joseph Perez, Franky Munguia, Monique Scott, Estee Rodriguez and Mark Anthony Rodriguez Jr., his 16 great-grandchildren and their spouses Raymond and Savaniah Rodriguez, Joseph III and Cristal Perez, Katrina Perez, Angelo Perez, Romeo Munguia, Precious Rodriguez, Ariana Scott, Grayson Scott, Bianca Scott, Alex Scott, Adrienne Scott, Max Munguia, Rj Alvarez, Sonny Rodriguez, and 1 great-great grandson Rj Rodriguez.
Abraham was preceded in death by his parents Merejeldo and Ramona Rodriguez, his wife
Josie Rodriguez, his Son Mark Anthony Rodriguez Sr., and his great granddaughter Savanah Scott.
Abraham’s love, laughter, and generosity will dearly be missed by all.
A memorial service will be held at Palm La Paz Funeral home, 1605 L. Street Fresno Ca. 93721 at 10:00am located in our Calaveras chapel.
